I’ve checked out the reports and the geology of the area, and even touched base with one of the geologists involved. My report for Creation.com concludes they were buried late in Noah’s Flood as the waters were retreating from the land. My report concludes:
The sandstone strata containing the whale fossils are contained within a local area called the Caldera basin. Similar localised basins are found at a number of places along the western coast of Chile. Although the basins are relatively small for Flood deposits, the characteristics of the sediments in these basins and the abundant fossils contained in them indicate that deposition took place during a period of rapid and major coastal subsidence.
Coastal subsidence of this nature is exactly what we would expect in the second part of the Flood when the ocean basins sank, the continents rose and the floodwaters flowed into the ocean. And major coastal subsidence explains the rapid burial of the whales and other creatures because rapid burial was needed soon after death to preserve the fossils. After the ocean basins had mostly subsided and the waters had almost completely drained from the land, the whales and other animals that perished in the catastrophe were buried—toward the end of Noah’s Flood.

There is also a large site in the desert of Peru that has whales. Loma Linda University has been digging there for years, and publishing the results. The whales are exquisitely preserved, sometimes still having the baleen in place, in diatomaceous earth. Baleen falls out within a few days of death, so the burial has to have been rapid.
From the sound of it, the whale fossils seem to be common on a good share of the coast of South America.
Tas Walker responds: Thanks Paul. Here is a report on their work.

A few complete Grey whale fossil findings have also been discovered near the western coasts of southern California, most recently found within the property governed by the Irvine Management Company located at least 10-20 miles from the shoreline up in the hills.
It’s utterly ridiculous having to listen and read how the evolutionists attempt to explain it away with humanistic rhetoric.
Keep the faith, and stay the course…

Anyone have a scientifically established date for these whale fossil layers and an established date and range for Noah’s flood for comparison? Or are we supposed to rely on unverified personal opinion & private interpretation?
Tas Walker responds:
Hi Gavin, If you go to my report for creation.com you will see how the secular scientists are trying to ‘date’ the whale fossils. It is not as precise as you seem to imagine but based on a number of assumptions, as explained in that article. You will also see how the timing of the deposit was worked out for the biblical Flood framework. It is not unverified personal opinion and private interpretation but based on criteria and logic.

Thank you, for the insight as to how those group of ancient whales ended up in the desert of Chile. So the event of the Biblical Flood
of Noah is global, not a local flood confined to the Middle-East as some learned human has claimed…
